Huchu Homare has been brewing sake in Ibaraki Prefecture since 1854 and is currently led by Takaaki Yamaguchi. “The 55” is brewed with Watari Bune rice, a strain of rice they revived from near extinction. This sake has aromas of bright fruit and tastes of musk melon and white peaches on the finish. This is a great sake to serve with Roast Pheasant, Venison Tenderloin, or Uni.
